The Arkansas Supreme Court has appointed Sean Keith to the Supreme Court Committee on Model Jury Instructions- Civil for a three year term. Sean will replace Tim Brooks of Fayetteville who was recently nominated and approved to be a federal judge in the Western District of Arkansas.
This committee oversees the jury instructions that are given in all civil cases across the State. It meets seven to eight times each year reviewing recent Court decisions and insuring that the jury instructions reflect the most current law of Arkansas.
Each year a new Jury Instruction book is published to be used by the attorneys and judges in Arkansas for every case that goes before a jury. “I am honored to be a part of this committee which is made up of some of the best attorneys in our State. I have relied upon this committee’s work for the last 20 years that I have been in practice and to get the opportunity to be a part of creating these instructions is something to which I am excited to be a part,” Keith said.
