Medical Treatment

Arkansas law entitles you to medical treatment at no cost to you. This treatment should last until your physician feels you have reached maximum improvement. If you are not happy with the treatment you are receiving, you are entitled to ask for a change of physician. Additionally, you are entitled to be reimbursed for your mileage costs to and from your physician.

Temporary Disability Benefits

Arkansas law entitles you to receive temporary disability payment while you are off work due to an on-the-job injury. You are entitled to receive two-thirds (2/3) of you average weekly wages. There are maximum amounts establish by law.

Permanent Disability Benefits

If your injury affects your ability to perform your employment in the future, you are entitled to monetary compensation under Arkansas law. The amount of compensation received will be determined by an impairment rating established by your treating physician, as well as your rate of temporary disability payment. If you are over 70% disabled, you may be entitled to a small lifetime pension. If you are 100% disabled, you may receive a large settlement amount.

Death Benefits

Arkansas law states that if a worker dies as a result of an on-the-job injury, a dependent of that worker has the right to recover the worker’s burial expenses, as well as additional compensation.

Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits

Arkansas law state you are entitled to assistance in finding other employment if you are unable to return to your former employment following an on-the-job injury. This includes payment for retraining so you can acquire skills to gain other employment.
